The latest confirmed development in border mill accord is that a second set of hands has checked the count and recorded where the methods differ. The update comes from the shared flour table at the north border mill; officials have not announced a permanent change to the rule.
Dorin Nel, grain delegate for the Kharad Venn trade table, confirmed 37 mill turns recorded under the shared water allotment in the latest file. The previous count was 41. The figures do not yet resolve how two settlements can share a mill without turning each dry week into a dispute over priority.
The unresolved point is specific: The accord assigns turns by season; both delegations say the other has carried forward last season’s exception as a rule. No finding has established that either account is final.
The current arrangement remains in place. The office has not said whether it will change before the next review.
NEXT UPDATE: The joint table will publish the turn schedule with every exception dated. The file will be updated when the second check is complete; until then, the confirmed record is narrower than the claims around it.
