The board at Seventh Bridge now lists the time a release leaves the North Sluice and the time it reaches the last landing. Keepers added the second mark after a season of comparing the gate total with the levels at the lower cisterns. The two readings do not always move together.

The new entry is not a promise that every turn will arrive at the same pace. A slow flow can still take longer to reach the lower rooms, and the masons have not said whether the final bend should be widened. The board makes the delay visible while the channel review continues.

Households still follow the existing order. Residents can now ask the keeper to check a missed mark against both ends of the route, rather than relying on the time the gate opened alone. The water office says it will preserve the older entries so ward delegates can compare releases across seasons.

That is a modest change to the record, not an allocation decision. The upper reservoir’s paired marks remain the basis for the storage discussion, and the schedule for the lower wards has not been revised. The next question is whether the shared mill can keep its seasonal turns just as visible.
