The East Seam crew has returned to the marked access line for instrument work after a second survey recorded no change beyond the stated tolerance. The repeat used a separate instrument from the opposite wall and included the direction of each reading, the detail missing from the earlier public digest.
The survey office has authorized a narrow return: two surveyors and foreman Uldra Ker may enter to check the markers and compare the result with the original slate marks. The crew is not cutting stone, and the face beyond the line remains closed. The new form requires both a survey signature and the foreman’s entry record before any boundary moves.
The repeat does not prove that the face will remain stable. It describes the interval measured and the tolerance used. The survey office will post both with the next reading so a later shift can see whether the result changed or only the instrument did.
Ker said the crew can now plan an inspection without treating a production order as permission to work. The city has answered who may return and what they may do. It has not yet answered how many readings are enough to open the face, or how long the tolerance should govern.
