The replacement hinge on the South Ventilation Line passed the loaded return test, the ventilation mechanic said. The crew repeated the check at cold start and after the fan reached its working load. On both runs, the return door came back to the mark used in the handwritten junction checks.
The result is narrower than the mill’s proposal to add a working face. The test verifies that the door moves through its present cycle; it does not establish how the line performs with the added face drawing air or whether the East Seam markers have stopped changing.
The ventilation office will attach the new test sheet to the fan register and repeat the check when the additional load is modeled. Ennet said the old reading remains in the book beside the repair entry so a later crew can see why the hinge was replaced.
The East Seam crew is still outside the marked boundary. Its survey needs a second instrument and a reading from the opposite wall. For now, the two review files share a question about what counts as a complete check, but neither result substitutes for the other.
