The latest confirmed development in flood map is that the clerk has matched the claim to its source register and named the missing record. The update comes from the lower archive’s map room; officials have not announced a permanent change to the rule.
Ava Korr, keeper of the flood map collection, confirmed 56 marked waterways compared with the modern survey in the latest file. The previous count was 56. The figures do not yet resolve whether the old route is evidence of a lost spill channel or simply a copyist’s correction mark.
The unresolved point is specific: The mapmaker’s notes were added decades later; the archive has not found a matching field survey. No finding has established that either account is final.
The current arrangement remains in place. The office has not said whether it will change before the next review.
NEXT UPDATE: The archive will publish a high-resolution copy with each later mark dated separately. The file will be updated when the second check is complete; until then, the confirmed record is narrower than the claims around it.
