The latest confirmed development in deep garden blight is that the affected crew has tried the revised procedure under ordinary working conditions. The update comes from the Deep Garden terraces beneath the south cistern; officials have not announced a permanent change to the rule.
Nera Doss, cultivator responsible for the south beds, confirmed 57 beds showing the same pale edge on their leaves in the latest file. The previous count was 61. The figures do not yet resolve whether the affected beds should be isolated before the next communal harvest.
The unresolved point is specific: Growers see the pattern spreading along one trench; the garden office says the samples do not yet distinguish rot from mineral stress. No finding has established that either account is final.
The current arrangement remains in place. The office has not said whether it will change before the next review.
NEXT UPDATE: The soil readers will take paired samples from both sides of the trench. The file will be updated when the second check is complete; until then, the confirmed record is narrower than the claims around it.
