The latest confirmed development in language hall is that a second set of hands has checked the count and recorded where the methods differ. The update comes from the shared language hall near the South Welcome House; officials have not announced a permanent change to the rule.
Leth Aran, interpreter coordinator for the south wards, confirmed 23 public notices translated before a meeting in the latest file. The previous count was 25. The figures do not yet resolve which city decisions need a translated notice before residents can give meaningful comment.
The unresolved point is specific: The clerk counts a notice as available once a copy is requested; interpreters say requests often arrive after a meeting is set. No finding has established that either account is final.
The current arrangement remains in place. The office has not said whether it will change before the next review.
NEXT UPDATE: The hall will compare request dates with the dates printed on the hearing notices. The file will be updated when the second check is complete; until then, the confirmed record is narrower than the claims around it.
