Q: What changed in the second reading review?
Varda Kin: A field check has compared the written rule with the place where it is used. That changes what is in the file; it does not, by itself, change the rule.
Q: Which entry should residents look at first?
Varda Kin: the gate manifest and the signal log from the ridge watch. This cycle records 44 caravan loads checked before the cloud stair opens, against 43 in the last count. The dates and the method matter as much as the total.
Q: Why is there still a disagreement?
Varda Kin: The watch sees a passable surface from the wall; carriers report that the shaded turn remains slick under a loaded cart. We have not found a single measure that answers both accounts.
Q: What will the next check tell you?
Varda Kin: The road crew will post separate clearance times for foot traffic and freight. If it is recorded by another crew, we can see whether the first result was about the method or about the place.
Q: What should the public not infer yet?
Varda Kin: That a lower or higher count settles whether the ridge road can reopen to ordinary freight before the late snow has cleared the outer turn. It tells us what was entered, not who should carry the cost.
