The latest confirmed development in seven arches is that a new complaint or proposal has been entered under a dated docket. The update comes from the Seven Arches crossing above the east ravine; officials have not announced a permanent change to the rule.
Teren Bel, bridge inspector for the upper road, confirmed 37 loaded crossings in the latest file. The previous count was 38. The figures do not yet resolve whether the fourth arch can carry trade carts while repair stones are brought up the same road.
The unresolved point is specific: The inspector’s limit protects the oldest span; carriers say the alternate route adds a full stair and a second toll. No finding has established that either account is final.
The current arrangement remains in place. The office has not said whether it will change before the next review.
NEXT UPDATE: The masons will place a temporary measure stone before authorizing the next heavy load. The file will be updated when the second check is complete; until then, the confirmed record is narrower than the claims around it.
